The
engine bay and all front end components were cleaned
up eight
years ago - with all parts only being cleaned up
only. No plating or powder coating was used. I did
everything as it would have been done from factory
as I wanted a clean, original look rather than a
fully restored look. After having such a good base
car I think these days the original look is more
appreciated rather than having a fully restored
car in some cases. I think personally, we will see
more of it. Not to say a good restored car isn't
great to look at. They are, but after taking my
car to Hanging Rock Car Show on the 11/02/2008 and
with all the positive feedback I received, it was
a real buzz to have enthusiasts really appreciate
the car for what it is and what it would have been
like all those years ago.
I had quite a few enquiries on the day regarding
doing the same sort of job on some vehicles. I have
a good original Track Red PHASE 3 ready to start
shortly. I will also have shots of that car undergoing
its clean up, so stay tuned.
